The AI revolution in Science

Dear AI enthusiasts and Barrel AI Monkeys,

Please join us for this interesting evening and talk on subject “Artificial Intelligence in Science”.

We will take you on the journey through the history of (AI) Artificial Intelligence in science, following particle physics from the teams of human scanners at CERN in the 1960s through the internet revolution to modern day imaging techniques. We will look at how AI is currently being used across science research, from astronomy to medicine. Expect to get back home embraced with new insights within AI field.

After the talk there will be a “Discuss & Engage” session.

Speaker of the evening is lovely lady Dr. Abbey Wadron. Abbey has a PhD in experimental particle physics from the University of Oxford and has done research at many of the World's major laboratories including CERN, Fermilab and J-PARC.
